Chuck Hawley was sent to my house to give an estimate. He was absolutely wonderful. He did a through inspection of my roof. Explained in detail what would be recommended. Sent me three different estimates. Did not force me to pick one over the other. We discussed all of my options and I made the decision of what would be best for my house and my budget. 10 stars. GREAT INSTALLATION OF A GREAT PRODUCTThis new roof looks great making my house stand out. Just looking at the way the shingles are thicker and lay securely flat demonstrates the quality of both the product and installation. The warranty is the best available and relieves all the anxiety about making the right choice. Jason and Jeff are great people to work with that truly care about their reputation and very willing to work with you to replace your roof with confidence. Their team not only did a great job installing, but also cleaned up all the debris leaving my property the same as when they arrived all in a single day !

The project was completed promptly from the time I called until finished was within a couple weeks. Price was reasonable and despite surprise findings during our project they helped us to stay within our budget. They showed care for our home, family and our community. No subcontracting and you work personally with North Star and their private crew. Phenomenal job and I would highly recommend them for your external home projects especially roofing/ trim/ gutters and sky lights. I can’t say enough positive words about this company!

We did our full roof replacement with North Star. They did a great job and addressed the problem area we had concerns with. We have a complicated roof with lots of corners and roof running into siding and a steep incline. We were having severe ice damming and our neighbors with similar roofs had leaks in the same area. The team came and finished it in one day and put a different material on the problem area instead of shingles. They back their work and have expertise in the field, which was what mattered the most to us. We received the warranty from the GAF manufacturer and passed the inspection, so we feel confident that the work was done right

We needed to get our roof redone for insurance purposes so had started the process of looking into local companies, contractors, etc.. It seemed like quite a daunting process with all the roofing companies out there to choose from. We saw all the great reviews that North Star had received and decided to give them a call. Eric came out to meet with us and did a fantastic job of explaining all of the options to us and the pros and cons of everything. He immediately put us at ease with the whole process and timeline for getting the work done. The price was good and comparable to what we had heard from friends and others who also had roofing work done over the last few years. We decided to go with North Star and also had the gutters and fascia boards done in addition to the roof. Each crew did an excellent job from start to finish - they came on time, were extremely efficient, and did a great job of cleaning up all the materials after the job was done. Eric communicated with us throughout the process and came back to check things out when the work was completed. We truly could not have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend North Star to anyone that needs roofing work.

North Star replaced the roofing and siding on my both my house and garage in March 2026.From the very first meeting, I was impressed. The sales rep, Kyle, was friendly, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy! He truly listened to what I said, and made great suggestions on what products met my needs. He didnt offer me some 'mega deal' that was only valid if I signed a contract immediately, like some of the other companies I had out. Instead, he encouraged me to take my time to do some research on the products and pricing, and told me I could reach out to him with any questions or concerns. And that was not just an empty promise! He responded to dozens of messages from me. Each response was timely and pleasant.The work was postponed a few times due to the crazy winter weather, but Kyle always kept me informed well in advance.When the day finally came, their guys showed up bright and early and got straight to work! Everyone was friendly and professional, and the work they did was absolutely beautiful! They even have a customer portal that shows you photos of the work as it is being completed, which I LOVED because I didn't have to miss any work, but I could still be in the loop!At one point, I notified Kyle about a minor issue with a 3rd party they had to hire for a portion of the job. I was not looking for them to do anything about it, I just wanted them to be aware of the issue. However, within 15 minutes the issue was resolved and I received a personal phone call from Jeff, the owner of the company apologizing for the issue. They really go above and beyond to keep their customers happy!And best of all, they are honest! My old roofing and siding was so bad, I was sure the underlayment was rotted and I was fully prepared to have to fork out thousands of dollars on tons of plywood underlayment (and Kyle knew that). However, they didn't find nearly as much damage as I expected. The replaced the rotted underlayment, and I wasn't charged anything additional! They could have very easily told me there was a ton of rotted underlayment, and charged me a fortune, but they didn't!It has been over a month since the work was completed, and every time I pull up to my house, it puts a smile on my face to see how beautiful my home looks!!Without a doubt, if I had to do it all again, I would 100% go with North Star Roofing. If you want to work with a great group of people who are friendly, trustwotthy and do quality work that they stand behind, then give Kyle at North Star a call! I guarantee you won't regret it!

The roof was put on my moms house. Chuck was great throughout the whole process. Price was good and they did a great job. Only thing I didn’t like was that chuck kept saying that he will stop and pick up a check and never did . Anyway that was fine we just ended up mailing it in . I would definitely recommend them

Northstar comes to Luzerne county I had Chuck here yesterday and he was wonderful very personable very wise who else will make you laugh makes you feel comfortable I have social anxiety I felt like I knew chuck my whole life. Even like told me things about my house I didn't know. They also give military discounts they look to save you money their license and insured and they have the same crew for as long as they've been in business. If you really need a roof I recommend Northstar roofing. If you're single lady like myself and you're looking for a good roof at a reasonable price with very professional people that are very personable that'll even make you laugh and give you some knowledge of your home and inspect your roof very thoroughly and explain everything to you even if you don't know anything about a roof like I don't you'll know before they leave. Chuck is very wise. And if you have social anxiety and your little awkward with people they make you feel like they know you they make you feel like you've been their friend their whole life it was a cool experience not only am I getting a roof but it was like enjoyable to have Chuck your going over my house with me and pointing things out with me so I'm aware of these things I am grateful for North Star Chuck and Susie is amazing and they really look out for you.
